Synosia has an impressive pipeline of six clinical-stage compounds, acquired through strategic partnerships with
Novartis,
Roche and
Syngenta, for the treatment of neurological and psychiatric diseases.
Our strategy since founding the company has been to acquire compounds with a strong scientific and medical rationale and preclinical and clinical safety data. Licensing-in compounds at this stage enables us to build upon pre-existing pharmaceutical investigations and extensive clinical safety databases.
In the past few years, we have executed an ambitious and innovative clinical development programme run from our two centres of operation, Basel and South San Francisco. We have utilised innovative imaging and clinical trial design to de-risk our compounds before going into larger Phase II and Phase III trials.
Based on data from the series of innovative clinical trials we have conducted, we have prioritised five compounds to progress further into development in Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease (cognitive disorders), drug dependency and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Our longer term strategy is to commercialise selected products in specialty indications and defined territories, while seeking strategic partners for larger indications and for specific regions of the world.
